Accommodation

The Burra Bungalow: Home to generations of planters with its sweeping main verandah, cozy living room (with fireplace and library) and grand dining room where candle-lit dinners are held, the bungalow hosts 4 separate charmingly decorated guest rooms each following a different theme. 
The Water Lily Bungalow: With 4 suites and a stunning location on the edge of the Glenburn spur, the bungalow comprises a living room, smaller dining room, two verandahs and garden areas laid out on two levels and connected to The Burra Bungalow by a stone staircase. All four bedrooms have direct views of the mountains and are set with antique furniture, private balconies, and bay windows or sit outs.

Dining

All meals including bed tea and snacks are included in the rates. Glenburn offers different cuisines including local fares, traditional Indian dishes, South-East Asian and even European food.
They also make homemade cookies and cakes that you can have as snacks anytime along with fresh fruit juice, lime water or tea & coffee. Snacks also include pakodas (fried pastries), sandwiches, chocolate brownies, momos, etc.

Good time to visit

Glenburn is open all year round. Darjeeling has a moderate climate with all five distinct seasons in a year. Summers (April to June) are mild with maximum temperature never crossing 25 °C. Monsoons (July to August) are accompanied with intense torrential rain causing roadblocks. Autumn (September to November) is accompanied by intermittent showers and Darjeeling looks marvelous during this period. Winters (December to January) have a cool climate within the average range of 5 °C to 7 °C. Minimum temperature this season can be freezing –2 °C. Spring (February to March) is charming with a moderate climate. This season is best with scenic beauties. The best season to visit Darjeeling is from September to June.

Childcare

Children of all ages are welcome and those under 3 stay free. Older kids will love the outdoor activities, especially down by the river. Most suites have single rooms which are ideal for children. Cots, extra beds and babysitting are available upon request.
